A highly original and unique wallcovering made by creating vertical pleats in linen fabric, which is then surface treated with natural pigments. This forms a natural look with a matte denim appearance. The technique of pleating fabrics (known as “plissé”) was begun in the early twentieth century by the painter, artist and designer Mariano Fortuny who used it for fashion clothes and outfits. The pleats create the impression of unconnected random vertical movements. Strong and original with a very youthful appearance.
